MY THOUGHTS ON ARCHITECTURE

I love the city, any city. I am inspired by the thought of creating buildings which will last for decades. Buildings which will be sustainable and enriching to their environment.

​The spaces I create will respect the past and celebrate the present, yet with the capacity to evolve with the change it encounters. I will interpret the building from its context; which will influence the basis of its form. I believe an architecture which is in right standing with nature and its environment.

My pursuit is for the building to stand in its barest most essential elements, elements which display craftsmanship and an understanding of materiality. A building with a DNA so transparent that the fractional detail of the whole is revealed. I believe in a modest, friendly and welcoming architecture, an architecture which creates spaces for the chance of meeting, breathing life into the commuity. I believe in an architecture of secure thresholds, not deceptive forms which flows into nothingness.
