The urban environment is far more complex than just the buildings and infrastructure we see. The urban fabric consists of dense, intangible layers of cultural, political and economic influence. This project attempts to explore a new prison culture which has developed from an increasing need for South African citizens to consume. The complex will create an immaterial object to be consumed through the creation of myths and conspiracy. (Crysler:19)
